Favorite Fictional Schools

Reading introduced me to tons of fictional school that I know are much better than the schools I went to. I actually wonder if reading is a good idea since it gives me the idea that reality isn’t good enough.  Well, I can’t do anything about anyway.

I spent a great deal of time before imagining that I’m studying somewhere. If you’re a book lover, I’m pretty sure you did the exact same thing. I can’t possibly believe that you’re studying elsewhere.  Of all the fictional schools out there, there are three that definitely top my list:

  • HOGWARTS’S SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY – Don’t tell me you didn’t wait for your Hogwarts letter because I won’t believe you one bit. I was 9 when I first read Harry Potter and I waited and waited for the letter to arrive but it sadly didn’t. I ended up having to settle for an old red bricked school come September. It was heart-breaking.
  • CAMP HALF-BLOOD – How cool is it to be a half-god and stay for a year or a summer in a training camp for half-bloods? I was in college when I read the Percy Jackson series and I was really tempted to drop out of college and find this training camp. I’d rather yield swords than do some science experiments.
  • BATTLE SCHOOL – If you haven’t read Ender’s Game yet, then you should. It’s one of the most intense science fiction books I’ve read, and I can’t wait for the movie. Anyway, Battle School is where children of the future are taught how to fight. I may not be able to study there but I still have some hope for my kids.

I’m an adult now, but I guess my fantasies and dreams are still childish.
